Ryder Cup
Europe retained the Ryder Cup with a 16.5-11.5 victory over the all-AJGA alumni United States squad in Gleneagles, Scotland. The European team consisted of former AJGA players Victor Dubuisson and Sergio Garcia. Dubuisson posted a 2-0-1 record in his Ryder Cup debut, while Garcia won 2.5 out of 4 possible points to bring his career record to 18-9-5.

Dubuisson competed at the first-ever Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by TaylorMade-adidas Golf at TPC Sawgrass, an all-boys Invitational which features one of the most competitive and international fields on the AJGA schedule.

Garcia played in two AJGA events and was named an honorable mention Rolex Junior All-American in 1998 after winning the Marsh Junior at Apawamis.

Lee receives ANNIKA Award

UCLA’s Alison Lee, was formally presented the inaugural ANNIKA Award presented by 3M as the country’s most outstanding female collegiate golfer. The honor was announced in June and the trophy presentation was part of the first-annual ANNIKA Intercollegiate Presented by 3M.

Lee was a six-time, first-team Rolex Junior All-American and totaled nine career AJGA victories, including four Invitationals (her first was at the 2012 ANNIKA Invitational, pictured above).
