Throwback Thursday

Posted on Updated on

Welcome to a new and improved addition of Throwback
Thursday–AJGA style. We will bring you pictures of your favorite AJGA alumni
who are lighting up the professional tours. Here’s the catch, we will only give
you hints as to who these players could be. What prize do you win if you are
correct? Bragging rights and the opportunity to broaden your golf history
knowledge!

This week’s theme: The Open Championship

Here are this week’s clues (left to right):

  1. You may not recognize this player without his
signature visor and pink driver. Around the course you will hear fans “calling
the Dawgs” after a mile-long drive or a clutch putt. Did we mention he won his
first major at Augusta National Golf Club?
  2. This talented lefty was a three-time Rolex Junior
Player of the Year. As play at The 142nd Open Championship came to a
close today, he finds himself sitting in the top 10. Could this be the year he hoists
    the Claret Jug?
  3. This player is on a hot streak with six top-10
finishes on the PGA TOUR this season, including two wins. This former Yellow
Jacket finds himself in perfect position to snag his first major victory
