As junior golfers travel across the country in the heat of
summer competition, the top 40 juniors convene for a week of friendly rivalry
and intense competition. The only all
match play event on the AJGA schedule, Wyndham Cup marks its 24th year of Ryder Cup-style golf that pits the top juniors from the East against their
counterparts from the West (with the Mississippi River as the dividing line).

The tournament consists of morning and afternoon matches on
Tuesday and Wednesday, with the following match play formats:

Four-ball: In
this team competition, two players play their better ball against the better
ball of two other players.

Foursomes: In
this team competition, two players play against two other players, and each
side plays one ball. This format is also known as alternate shot.

The tournament will be decided by singles matches on
Thursday’s final day.

Singles: One
player from the East against one player from the West. Every player will
compete in one singles match.
