“I’m glad I asked her,” said newly crowned PING Phoenix Junior champion Jenny Hahn.
Tweeting Annika Sorenstam for advice on playing the Moon Valley Country Club course was what Hahn called “a good move.”
Sorenstam told Hahn to play one shot at a time… advice she took to heart.
“I didn’t want to get ahead of myself,” Hahn said. “Annika’s advice really kept me focusing on what was right in front of me.”
When it comes to winning, there’s a first time for everyone. Hahn finished second in last year’s PING Phoenix Junior, and was happy to change her title from runner-up to champion.
This was Hahn’s first AJGA tournament win, and she hopes not her last. She will tee it up close to home next week in the Las Vegas Junior Open.
